[TheOptionClub.com] Re: Vertical Rolls

OptionsXpress does have a condor trading screen, and I'll be sure to use it as needed. Thanks for the brilliant answer, Doug.

[TheOptionClub.com] Re: Vertical Rolls

Rolling a vertical up/down is the same as adding a butterfly or condor.

Ex:
Say I have a short call vertical in GOOG
-1 460 C / +1 470 C

Buy 1 460/-2 470 /+1 480 Call butterfly
Result is a -1 470/+1480 Call vertical

If I had used a 460/470/480/490 condor, the vertical would have moved up to a 480/490.

I have an account with OptionsXpress and can't find an order form in which to roll a vertical spread up or down. Does anyone have a work-around for this. My TOS account does have that option which works very nicely.

Thanks,

[TheOptionClub.com] IBM Bear Call Credit Spread

Hey gang, what do you think of this play (prices as of close 8/10):
IBM - 118.70
STO AUG 120 for 1.23
BTO AUG 125 for 0.15
Credit 116
Risk 384
Probability (from OX) 72%

I will be watching this morning and making my decision if these numbers hold up. Looks like IBM is ready for consolidation or a pullback.

[ConservativeOptionStrategies] Update

__,_._,___

[ConservativeOptionStrategies] DLS

Dear Dr Joe,

Haven't heard from you for a while. And wonder if you are still doing the DLS ? I engaged in the DLS since Aug 2008. Currently I have SPY 90 2010 for 2,000 and IWM 50 2011 for 2,500.

Since Dec 2008, I am selling the SC with a Delta of 0.25. As the market is now moving up, I would like to listen from you as to the SC strategy. Should I 1. stop selling SC, 2. buy more LEAP, 3. continue selling SC with a Delta of 0.25 or even 0.2.

Thanks,

Lugui
