I found an interesting web site, since I am always looking for short term ideas with high implied volatility to screen for ATM calls. I know, I know it may not be consistent with your definition of conservative option strategies. But I maintain that a well researched stock with a covered call sold a few weeks before expiration is a relatively conservative investment! A poorly researched market (e.g. an SPY leap) is a worse investment than a well researched stock. Its easy to make money with the right investment, the hard part is finding the right investment. so far free I will not suggest anyone use their suggestions without a lot of other study ( caps, IBD screener, stock scouter, analyst ratings, historical graphing, MACD etc.) but it is a source of ideas. other good sources for ideas are Seeking Alpha, ONN.TV (its a web site from options house) |
