Richard, I always recommend that options newbies join the Yahoo Group called "MarketStudent." It is run by an OptionClub member called Marko. I have found no safer place for newbies to get the respect and fair dealing they desperately need at the beginning of a very perilous journey. Marko's group is free, and he gives free webinars on a regular basis. I have learned a lot from MarketStudent and from this fine forum (TheOptionClub) as well. Plus, if you are in the San Francisco Bay area, please shoot me a private email. We are blessed with many many fine options clubs and I'd be happy to send you some info on them. Ah! On that note, check out the free classes put on by thinkorswim's OptionPlanet division. http://www.optionplanet.com/assembled/list.html I have had the pleasure of meeting  some very fine people there, including one of the smarter students here, Murthy.
