There are a few screeners that have "Optionable" as a criteria. However, I've found that to me fairly useless -- it doesn't tell me how tradeable the options are.

I have in the past used Zack's to find out which optionable stocks have earnings announcements before the next option expiration date. Unfortunately, their screener doesn't contain an ex-dividend date, although they could be retrieved one at a time using my add-in. But you would want to get down to a manageable list of ticker symbols first.

A more important question to me though is how these opportunities are found. Scouring stock and option tables on a regular basis is time consuming and tedious work. This is probably a silly question, but I was wondering if there were any tools to locate opportunities like these that arise out of a particular and unique combination of factors.
