SPX is cash settled, so if you get assigned, it will be in cash...so what....just let it happen....that put is way ITM right now, so it will probably still be in the money by expiration, so let the remaining time value decay away, and you'll get assigned for just the intrinsic value.  If you buy it back today, you'll be paying the intrinsic + extrinsic + commissions.  Plus if the market continues to go up before 2/18 expiration, you won't be as much ITM so you'' have a lower loss.

some time back, I sold a put spx 1150 strike march. the market fell to now and I want to buy it back so it doesn't get exercised. any advice will be greatly appreciated.
