I have to agree with Cody about Optionvue not dealing nicely with their customers. I started with Optionvue 2 and upgraded all the way to Optionvue 4. I had two dongles(?) the entire time. A dongle(?) is an electronic security device that fits on the back of the computer. The software won't run without it. I used one dongle on my desktop and the other on my laptop. When Optionvue 5 was introduced in 1999 (the big deal, I as can best recall, being fully compatible with windows instead of DOS and requiring new dongles), I was sent a letter offering the upgrade price of $605.00. I called with my credit card and reminded them before I bought it that I had two dongles. I was told it was not a problem - the price allowed me to upgrade the system I had in place. I paid the $605.00. When the box arrived, it had one dongle enclosed. I called the company the same day. I explained the problem, told them about the conversation I had before making the purchase, and requested they send the second dongle. They told me they had changed their policy. They then offered to send me a second dongle -- for $595.00. I told them I didn't want to pay that (again!), that I wouldn't have upgraded if they had been forthright and that I was going to return Optionvue 5 and stick with 4. They told me I couldn't return the software - since I may have installed it. I pointed out that I had only just received the package moments before AND the software required a new dongle to operate. They didn't care. The conversation went on, and I'm not proud to say, downhill. Far, far downhill. Haven't used them since. When I think of them, I wish I were a hacker.

Optionvue does not deal nicely with their customers. In fact, Optionvue is charging any of its customers in order to make their software compatible with the new OPRA symbols! It is pretty unbelievable that the software is not compatible with symbols and yet the CUSTOMER has to pay for the fix. Most if not all services would never charge for an upgrade of this type. And, if they do, they usually do not stay in business long.
(Many customers had prepaid for live quotes, and in order to continue to receive these live quotes (prepaid!!) new fees must be paid to Optionvue! Very customer unfriendly. I would avoid at all cost.
