Re: [TheOptionClub.com] Re:To Bob.

Hey Bob, you sound like  a cool guy. Byron is Byron. People consider the south to be ignorant, but the truth is that  ignorance is everywhere. And believe me, after going to south America and seeing real poverty I will gladly live in Byron. But fortunately I can live atlanta.  Yeah, I can't  imagine that there would be many brokers trading options down there. I really can't find many around here either. Edward jones seems to be the most popular brokerage around and they do nothing with options. I'm new to options, but a simply strategy that works sounds great to me! Good for you, Truly!  You can trade options and then fish. I have to go down there again sometime soon and I'd love to have a beer with you(though of course not Sunday).   Take care.

Praesto,

You are correct, there really isn't much around here but the Waffle House and trees. But it's quiet, nobody bothers me much, there isn't any smog, I've learned how to buy alcohol even though the liquor store is closed on Sunday & none of the neighboring brokers has a clue about options !!

With all this quiet, I had the time to invest in learning and came away with a simple system that drives the sophisticated option player a little nuts. Didn't mean to do it... but there it is.

Let me know when you fall into this buggy paradise and I'll buy you a beer ( or a glass of pinot noir, I can go either way). Oh. Sundays are out 'cause the bars are closed.

Wow Bob, you live in Byron Georgia??? No Way!!!

I didn't think anything was down there but waffle house and trees?? haha. It blows my mind that an option trader would be in the area. I live above Atlanta, and my family lives in Byron. It is indeed a small world. Thank you for your comments.

As I read all the responses to this question I must agree with most of what I hear: options are versatile, you must cut your losses and let the profits run,you have to learn what your doing, this educational program is better than that one, sign up on this site for free info, go to this site for charts, etc.

However, you may not have the time or $$$ to do all that. If that's the case, then follow the KISS rule ( keep it simple, stupid) ...and do only calls and puts to see how good you are at picking winners. Because the best advice I have heard so far is that if the underlying goes against you....... you lose money.

If you learn how to predict the underlying well enough you might just be happy doing nothing but puts & calls and leave the complicated ideas alone.

My two cents on the original question, " Is it worth it?".....YES! !!
