Welcome, Meera. What kind of options trading do you do? What software do you use to assist you?
Personally, I've been all about selling premium for the last couple of years. Mostly calendar spreads against long LEAPS on ETFs (IWM). (I've completely given up on trying to predict which stocks are winners. It's hard enough to predict the market as a whole, let alone individual stocks.) These calendar spreads work well, as long as the market doesn't do something radical. ;-)
What's interesting now is that I have lots of IWM LEAPS that are basically worthless (strikes in the 60's, 70's, and even the 80's), yet I can still sell options in the 50's against them. Of course, you have to watch these carefully, because the LEAPS are of no help at all, if the market moves against you.
Best of luck,
Lee Grey
