"unwinds" are any trades with the purpose to unwind (close) a position, especially an "at risk" position (usually due to leverage such as margin or derivatives) ... this is shorthand for fear-driven trading that's not rational profit taking and not based on planned loss limits.
It's the kind of trade I was doing last week ... out of fear more than good judgement ... I find a mattress full of cash to be a comfortable nights' sleep ... : )
