[TheOptionClub.com] Re: What good is it?

We've been down this path a few times over the last six years...

If the group is not moderated we get hammered with spam. Most days I
have to sort through the Viagra, male enhancement, stock pick
newsletter, and other spam messages to approve the legitimate messages.
It's bad enough I have to do it every day, if we didn't moderate then
you and everyone else using the board would have to sort through all of
that crap too in order to find the real posts.

The moderator is moderating. I typically visit the board at least once
each day, often a few times per day.

Timely information? This is a free, public discussion forum. We're
here to share information about options and how to trade them. This is
not a trade advisory, or streaming quotes site, or 911 for trades in
imminent distress. If you need help like that on a trade, that's a call
for your broker's trade desk. Those guys are 1.) licensed to provide
trading advice, and 2.) actually getting paid to provide you with
trading advice.

So, let's keep the board clear of spam and get a return on investment
from all of those commissions we pay by taking advantage of the licensed
professionals at our broker's office who are just waiting for our
telephone calls.
