Obama is about ready to begin the proceedings to ram "comprehensive immigration reform" (i.e. amnesty) down everyone's throat.
Such a bill would include:
- A mass amnesty for at least 12 million illegal aliens
- An increase in immigration from the Third World (further driving down the wages of Americans)
- An increase in H1B visas (further driving down wages in high tech and medical fields)
In short, there's one word for "comprehensive immigration reform": treason.
Real unemployment is higher than 20%, and Obama wants to flood the U.S. with even more cheap labor?
Harvard economist George Borjas recently noted that immigration' s net gain to people already living in the U.S. is quite small, one-tenth of one percent of GDP, while the public cost of immigrants is around $10-$20 billion a year. Whatever economic benefits immigration brings are "eaten away by the cost of providing services to the immigrants." (Wonder why California is bankrupt?)
