Jack, just pay the early termination fee on your contract....it's much cheaper then paying the repair fee. All the carriers doubled their termination fees in 2009. So, the early termination fee if you have the old fee, is $175 less $5 per month you have been in your contract. The new fee is $350 less $10 per month you've been in your contract.
FYI, BestBuy has their own handset insurance called BlackTie that covers water damage and no deductible. It's $10 per month (versus the carrier's ins which is $7.95 per month but doesn't cover water damage and has a deductible which basically covers their cost for a refurb'd phone).
And then just sign-up for a new 2-yr contract and get a new phone.
FYI, if you're with Verizon, even if you're in a 2-yr contract, they will let you upgrade early at 1 yr on the main line if you sign a new 2-yr contract (but not on the family add-a-lines)
TOS has a fantastic iPhone app., but ATT service sucks.
I just got the DroidX on Verizon. Was with ATT previously. Love Verizon service. DroidX is awesome.

Anyone aware of options trading apps for the Droid? Last I heard TOS was working on an app, but no estimated time for having it available.
Reason I ask is that I got my Motorola Droid wet and the screen went south. It is going to cost $200 - $500 to replace. This seems like a good place to look around and find the best smartphone that will support my options trading.
Thanks
Jack C
