RE: [TheOptionClub.com] Risk / profit options software

Is real-time imperative?  There are a couple of different options (no pun intended).

If you really need real-time option streaming, one solution is Interactive Brokers for order execution and either TOS or Options Oracle for position tracking.

Options Oracle is free, and has the ability to connect to Interactive Brokers for the real time quotes (or yahoo for delayed), etc.

Options Oracle:

Online strategy builder:

My guess is that you really don’t need real-time quotes. If give or take 15minutes makes or breaks a position, then perhaps the position has too much risk

to begin with.  Just my opinion.

TOS – paperMoney is a solution with delayed quotes.

OptionVue is a costly alternative, but some swear by it.

You might check with Goldman Saks.

If you have a million $$ to open account with.

Thats what TOS probably uses.

Does anyone know of the availability of software or an online service that provides real-time risk/profit data monitoring on existing options positions such as iron condors and double calendars similar to the real time monitoring that is possible with TOS, i.e. greek data, and the other features the TOS platform has?  I am trying to figure out the implications of the margin issues with TOS and if it will be necessary for me to opt against TOS.

Thank you,
Larry B
