Well, let's think about this...
You posted a message consisting of only a subject with no message body,
expecting that someone here would take their time to educate you about
the exercise process, position adjustments, etc. This, by itself,
suggests that you took very little time to think about or compose the
message but that you're expecting others to invest their time to come to
your assistance. Some people may feel put off by that. The nature of
the question also suggests that you spent no time researching this
yourself, again expecting that your research staff here at
TheOptionClub.com would do the work for you.
The board here has always been willing to assist each other in
developing their knowledge and understanding of options, but no one
likes to feel that they are being taken advantage of or taken for
granted. In response to your one-line message subject, I provided a
one-line response investing at least as much time as was invested in
composing the original question. If you don't want your option
exercised, close the position. That does not seem condescending to me,
but a very practical solution for the problem you presented.
